Man Stabbed in Tyburn Amid Report of Money Blowing Around on Ground

On a city street, a guy was stabbed amid claims of “money blowing around on the ground.”

Two males were being questioned about the attack on suspicion of attempted murder.

After the 30-year-old man was knifed at Springthorpe Green, Tyburn, at around 5.20pm on Saturday, August 28, video footage revealed a huge emergency service response, which included the air ambulance.

The victim was hospitalized with significant wounds and was in a stable condition. Although his injuries were not life-threatening, he was described as “fortunate to be alive.”

After police found a van suspected to be linked to the crime, two guys, ages 22 and 23, were apprehended. It was abandoned in Chester Road after failing to halt. After two males attempted to flee, suspects were apprehended.

“The victim suffered terrible wounds from what was suspected to be a knife and is lucky to be alive,” Supt Paul Minor said.
