Erika Jayne’s estranged husband’s legal issues have become even more of a headache for her: she’s been sued for $25 million by the trustee overseeing Tom Girardi’s bankruptcy case.
The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star is accused of intentionally allowing Girardi’s firm to pay for her costs for the past 12 years, according to the lawsuit, and the trustee now wants her to pay it all back.
EJ Global, the “XXPEN$IVE” singer’s company, allegedly used her estranged husband’s company to cover her American Express bill, pay assistants, and establish a glam squad, all for a total of $25 million.
Even if Jayne maintains she was unaware of Girardi’s financial problems, the trustee suing her believes that “it would be a miscarriage of justice if [she] was allowed to simply walk completely free of owing approximately $25,000,000 to the Estate.”
According to Page Six, the trustee is seeking the court to require her to repay the estate in full, plus interest.
Girardi has moved into a senior living facility as a result of his legal troubles, health issues, divorce, disbarment, and having to auction off a lot of goods from his law offices to pay off his debts.
Meanwhile, Erika bitterly refuted on a recent ‘RHOBH’ episode that she filed for divorce as a “sham” to hide assets, something she had already been sued for.
