Bandits Release 32 Bethel Baptist Students After Ransom Was Paid, 31 Still in Captivity

Thirty-two of the remaining sixty-three abducted pupils from Bethel Baptist High School in Damishi, Nigeria’s northern Kaduna state, have been released.

Joseph Hayab, the chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria’s Kaduna state branch, verified the news to ARISE News.

The students were released Friday evening, he said, and have since reconnected with their parents.

Prior to their release, they were paid an undisclosed quantity of money. There are currently thirty-one pupils in captivity.
