After receiving harsh criticism from her parents for performing poorly in the recently revealed PLE Results, a 13-year-old girl committed suicide by hanging herself.
Daphine Nakimuli, a resident of Kinuubi East, Bwikya Ward, Mparo division, Hoima City, has been identified as the deceased.
Nakimuli had recently finished her PLE at Bwikya Primary School, where she had received 28 aggregates in all four subjects.
Parents criticized their daughter for failing the examinations and squandering their money on her school fees, according to neighbors, based on this performance.
The child left a message behind before she died, stating how she felt unwanted, how her brothers and parents were scolding her over her PLE scores, and how she had decided to take her own life to be away of it.
Anger and abandonment drove the girl behind their house, where she got a rope and climbed a jackfruit, where she hung herself.
The event was confirmed by Albertine Region Authorities Spokesperson Allan Julius Hakiza, who also stated that police had already begun inquiries into the juvenile’s death.
