The showdown between the straight-talking left-back and no-nonsense Spurs boss is one of the most astonishing in the club’s fly-on-the-wall series.
Amazon got what they paid for when Danny Rose, in a meeting with Jose Mourinho, requested to know why he was being left out of the side.
However, the January bust-up ended with Rose warning he is off to see chairman Daniel Levy and the wheels set in motion for the England left-back to be loaned out to Newcastle.
It began in Mourinho’s office, after Tottenham’s 0-0 draw at Watford. Rose asks Mourinho: “I was wondering what the problem is.” The Spurs boss responds: “What do you mean?”.
Rose continues: “The way I’ve been treated. I was excited when you were appointed manager. But if you don’t want me to play tell me now and I will stay at home and train at home.”
