Rape In Nigeria
Kano – Aisha Kabir, a 20 years old nurse was stabbed, and raped by an intruder last Sunday while on duty at a private clinics located at Tal’udu area of Kano municipal.

The incident which occurred around 7:00pm was allegedly perpetrated by one Bashir Yahaya 20, who sneaked in from the adjourning neighborhood.

The police public relations officer, DSP Abdullahi Hakuna in a press statement made available to Reporters in Kano, said the Nurse sustained deep cut on her neck while struggling with the assailant.

DSP Hakuna disclosed that the suspect who was arrested at the scene with a blood stained knife also injured a good Samaritan who had intervened to free the health worker.

The police image maker said that save for the timely arrival of the police to the scene of incident, the assailant was nearly lynched by mob.

The police spokesperson said “we rushed to the scene and conveyed the victims to Government hospital in the city where they were treated and discharged .”

However, DSP Haruna revealed that the suspect had since confessed to the crime, adding that he would soon appear in court to face prosecution
