Businesswoman Sharon Adeleke, the sister of Afrobeats star Davido, has encouraged people to stop feeling pressured to wear an outfit only once, insisting there is nothing wrong with repeating clothes as often as they like.
In a video shared online, Sharon revealed that members of her team advised her against wearing an outfit she had previously worn to Coachella, arguing that people had already seen it.
However, she said she paid no attention to the advice, stressing that she would continue to re-wear outfits she loves instead of giving in to unnecessary fashion pressure.
According to her, she plans to attend an upcoming event in an outfit she already owns rather than making a new one, encouraging others to do the same if it makes them happy.
She said:
“Don’t let anybody pressure you. Re-rock your outfits as many times as you want.”
Her comments have since sparked conversations online, with many social media users applauding her message on confidence, sustainability and avoiding unnecessary spending.
